Research activities
Lisanne Groen conducts research in the programme ‘Balancing Public and Private Interests’ of the VU University Centre for Law & Governance. The research is part of the subprogramme ‘Regulation of public-private relations’.

When executing zoning plans, friction sometimes arises between the public interests of governments and the private interests of land owners.
This study aims to balance those different interests in such a way that the allocation of tasks between these two parties can be optimized.
