Privacy is a dynamic phenomenon which continuously interacts with  the developments in a society. Actually privacy as a legal standard only became relevant with the development of technology like printing press and snapshot photography. By analyzing trends in technology and society, through EU plans/patents, it is possible to get an idea of tomorrow’s society, the role of ICT and the role of privacy.
