VU University appoints professor in Private Law
From the first of April 2011, Mrs. Lieke Coenraad is appointed as professor in Private law, specializing in the subject of conflict resolution.

Coenraad will occupy the Fenna Diemer-Lindeboom chair; a chair of the VU University for female talent. Lieke is, alongside a number of other female talents form varying faculties, appointed for a five year period. The Fenna Diemer-Lindeboom chair is named after the in 2004 deceased dr. Fenna Diemer-Lindeboom, who was a protagonist of woman’s concerns within the VU University.
Lieke Coenraad is currently professor and interim portfolio holder of education at the Faculty of Law. She specialized in Family law and Process law. Professor Coenraad instructs the courses Fundamentals of Private Law and European Private Law. Moreover, professor Coenraad takes part in the faculty’s research program as well, which is titled: Balance between public and private concerns.
