The programme in a nutshell

The Master's programme in International Business Law focuses on rules and practices that are relevant for international business transactions. You will study the main legal areas and the interaction between the actors involved in transactions. In addition, you will develop skills to anticipate, analyze and address legal problems that may arise in the practice of international business.

The programme
International Business Law is a full-time, one-year programme. The programme starts in September and finishes early July. It is taught entirely in English and consists of several compulsory courses and elective courses that explore different fields of international business law, for instance tax law, property rights and company law. The courses are structured to form an integrated programme. The first semester provides you with a general legal foundation. The second semester builds further on this knowledge and covers more specific areas. In the final stage you will work on your thesis/research paper under the supervision of a professor.

Courses
The degree of Master in Law (LLM) is conferred upon students who satisfactorily achieve a minimum of 60 credits. This includes writing a research paper that students will present at the conclusion of the programme. A substantial number of courses are taught both by professors and legal practitioners. The Programme Director will monitor the students’ performance during the programme.
