Curriculum vitae
Marleen is assistant professor at VU Amsterdam. In 2015 she successfully defended her PhD on the legal consequences of the Services Directive on the national legal order.

Before she became an academic, she worked as an attorney at a law firm in Haarlem. She also worked as a lawyer at the district court in Alkmaar in the fields of administrative and criminal law for a couple of years. She graduated from VU Amsterdam in 2001.

Educational activities
Marleen is lecturer in the field of administrative and constitutional law.

Research activities
Marleen conducts research in the programme 'Public Contracts: Law & Governance'.

European administrative law, internal market, freedom of service, freedom of establishment, Services Directive.
