Research 
Rob de Greef conducts research in the faculty programme 'Fundamental rights, regulation and responsible government'. He conducts research in the field of administrative powers and the governmental organisation at the municipal and provincial level. He is doing a PhD research on democratic legitimacy of  administrative joint regulations. The research involves the question of legal requirements by the principle of democracy, the way in which joint regulations are legitimized under current law, and whether the requirements of the principle of democracy should lead to other forms of legitimizing. Supervisors are prof. dr. S.E. Zijlstra and prof. dr. H.R.B.M. Kummeling (Utrecht University)
