Curriculum Vitae
Dr. Sandor Loeffen (1979) is deputy clerk at the Netherlands House of Representatives and assistant professor of constitutional and administrative law at VU University Amsterdam. He received his master’s degrees in Law and in American Studies from Radboud University Nijmegen. He was also a visiting student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (USA). After graduation he joined Maastricht University's Faculty of Law, first as a Ph.D. researcher and later as assistant professor at the Department of Public Law and the Montesquieu Institute. In June 2013, he obtained his Ph.D. degree with a dissertation on the law and practice of parliamentary committees of investigation in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States. While at Maastricht he also completed a postgraduate summer programme in British politics at the London School of Economics and an internship at the UK Parliament. In addition, he was a visiting researcher at Georgetown University Law Center (Washington, DC, USA). In January 2013, he was appointed assistant professor of constitutional and administrative law at VU University Amsterdam.
