The research conducted within the Migration Law section focuses on areas such as refugee law, the role of the judge within immigration and refugee law and the interactions between family life and migration law. Besides that, research is conducted about the human rights and procedural aspects of these areas of law. The researchers participate, among other things, in the activities organized by the Migration and Diversity Centre.
The section Social Law focuses on legal issues relating to labour and income. Important topics are the (national and international, individual and collective) labour law, social security and pension law. In addition to that, sport and law takes up an important place in the section’s research.
Constitutional and Administrative Law
The research of the Constitutional and Administrative Law section takes place within two research programmes: Public Contracts: Law and Governance and Governance and the Public Interest. Both research programmes are part of the VU Centre for Law and Governance.
